Engr. Innocent Okechukwu Diyoke is a civil, structural and environmental engineer, and institutional development consultant and Managing Director of DIYOKES Consultants Ltd, Consulting Engineers and Planners with 38 years of experience in consulting engineering practice in Nigeria. He has been involved in the planning, engineering and management and financial aspects of World Bank assisted, African Development bank financed, European Union (EU) and UK DFID assisted projects and other major public works and infrastructure projects in Nigeria.

Engr. Diyoke graduated B.Sc. honours, upper second class degree in civil engineering from the University of Lagos in June 1980. He later undertook M.Sc. degree studies in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, 1985-1987. He was admitted Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, FNSE, No 02081, in 1995, Life Member, the Nigerian Society of Engineers, 1995, Member American Society of Civil Engineers, MASCE, 1995, Member Association of Consulting Engineers of Nigeria, MACEN, 1997, Fellow Institution of Environmental Engineers, Nigeria, 1995, Fellow Nigeria Institute of Civil Engineers and was fully registered by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) in 1986.

He has attended several local and international training programs and workshops including training on the use of the new highway design manual for roads and bridges (DMRB) in Birmingham , UK, by Thomas Telford Training Limited, UK, March 6-8, 2012; FIDIC Contracts workshop, Lagos, 5-7 July, 2011; FIDIC 2010 conference, New Delhi, 19-22 Sept, 2010, Design of transport infrastructure, Lagos 13-15 May 2008; ACEN Oil & Gas workshop, Ikeja-Lagos, 26-27 July 2007. Also attended UK-DFID, EU and World Bank training workshops on procurement of works, project management and institutional development.

Engr Diyoke is passionate about helping to train young engineers. To share his technical knowhow, experience and expertise with young engineers. To give them the rudiments of civil engineering practice. He wishes to provide opportunity for online engineering pupilage or apprenticeship for young engineers as well as provide refresher courses for practicing engineers.

A civil engineer can only effectively use design software when the engineer has the ability to manually design any civil engineering structure. We want to give young engineers that ability.
